Food poisoning, not fun whatsoever. Spent most of yesterday in a delusional state, liquid in was overcome by liquid out. Somehow I managed to pass out at one point and hit my head on the bathtub. Great. Couldn’t figure out if I should go to the hospital or not, so I ended up opting to (try to) sleep most of the day. Today I’m still queezy, hoping to kick it soon.

OMG NEW BIKE PEW PEW PEW!

My legs are loving me… and by loving me, I mean screaming out to me in pain! I haven’t ate shit yet after 3 days of riding my first fixed gear bike. I sold ‘Chill Black’ single speed to Owen, so it’s either the fixie or the xcross bike when I ride.

LTD played a show last night with Soft Shoulder and Matt & Kim. I could barely ‘get down’ as much as I usually do. Hell, I could barely lift my legs out of the car after the drive. Hopefully after my fixed gear trial-by-fire-month I’ll be doing a bit better in the sore leg dept.

I’ll be modding the bike soon, need one of those lame-ass sticker/postcard things that fixie riders rock in their spokes, and I’ll probably chop and flop the handlebars too, but I’ll look for a replacement set so I don’t mangle the original bars, they are nice. I’ll probably get a front brake too, at least until I’ve mastered the crazy hills in Flag.

This is also the first time I’ve officially named a bike. I dub thee ‘Squirtle Squad’!

So this past week a couple cool things have happened… Mark and I have officially gone in on a 55gal barrel of Bio-Diesel from Mountain BioFuel and it sits in the garage like so:

It was also Bike To Work Week…put on by Flagstaff Biking and I was our worksite’s coordinator. I found out a who regularly rides to work, and I also found out there’s a large percentage that just plain ol walk to work. Nice week to say the least.

I’ve been obsessing over BSG lately. Just read about the upcoming 4th season will be it’s last. Oh well… I’m like 1/2 way through the 3rd season, so I’ll just have to wait and enjoy the 4th come next year.

I will definitely be loading this on the home computers for recreational use… recreational use only.
